Headliner S.T.R.E.E.T.S. are known for having an awesome name, because S.T.R.E.E.T.S. stands for Skating Totally Rules Everything Else Totally Sucks.  Also I hear they are a pretty good band, Tod has given them some love in the past and gives them some love with some awesome pix today and some kind of epic 10-minute MP3 from their new album, which I am downloading RIGHT NOW, and they have some tuneage on their website too but I am too busy listening to Arthur Russell rite now (thanx Stee!).  Tod also says that this is their last show or something, what's up with that? 

But ANYWAY, while I am definitely going to stay for S.T.R.E.E.T.S., I will be coming for the BIRTHDAY BOYZ, who are by far the best melodic hardcore/screamo/nu-metal/jock rock band that I am really good friends with!  I mean seriously they are awesome, it's too bad their old website is gone b/c then you could listen to some MP3s, but this press thing from their split 7" (featuring their classic song about basketball, called "Basketball") with The Fiction basically says it all:

Birthday Boyz lure you in like the sirens, trapping you with a gentle melody and before you realize it your fate is sealed. You are doomed. You can only ride the waves to your watery grave as they raise you up with screams and fury and softly, deceptively putting you at ease with entrancing, circling riffs. Then it all crashes, explodes, and you are consumed.

I am pretty sure that they didn't write that, but, yeah, I will see you all at this show later OK?  Also Aa's own Nadav Havusha will be manning the PA, as he often does in his role as Cake Shop sound guy!  BOOST THE VOCALS DAV
