BUSCEMI = HERO

D. Sloane enriches my life yet again! He linked to this Fametracker site which was previously unknown to me (I don't normally spend time on, you know, those kinds of sites), where while innocently browsing through the Fame Audits (actually that's kind of a lie, I went straight to Buscemi) I learned this bit of amazing info:

Buscemi is a social activist who, unlike most celebrity "activists," doesn't make a big spectacle out of his public acts of conscience. As a former New York City firefighter, Buscemi's response to the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center was to get his gear on and head down to his old company, working twelve-hour shifts digging through the ruined buildings in search of his former colleagues. Earlier this year, he also participated in a protest over the closing of a fire station in New York.

Did you guys know about this?? I mean, I don't want to blow his spot or anything but seriously, he's like the greatest actor ever!

UPDATE: Holy shit, Buscemi has the same birthday as me! No joke! Someone remind me of this in like 5 months! Also, he played a Dead Pimp in this movie, which also features Richard Hell as the Irate Tenant. No joke!
