Yo bros - the time has come to remove my MP3 blog links from the 'random goodness' stew and give them their own category. Behold the MP3blogs, towards the bottom on the right - use frequently for free, obscure, and frequently awesome music. My MP3 collection here at work is starting to get way sicker than my old ones at home. The just-added MP3blog that pushed it over the top? Sticker Shock, an all-star group MP3 blog featuring Sasha Frere-Jones, Jeff Chang, Dave Tompkins, and Hua Hsu, via the extremely 'dope' Cocaine Blunts blog. I am embracing my inner wigger more and more every day! Also, if I can get me a couple megs of web space (Blog City ain't helping) I hope to do a bit of MP3bloggin myself in the near future - if any of YOU (readers) can lend me like 6-10 MB of storage on your server, please get in touch. Bandwidth shouldn't be too bad, no one reads this shit!
Cali frenz (or Cali afficionados more generally), be sure to check out the "Why I Came To Cali" MP3 on that Sticker Shock blog, it's a great (if a little, you know, 'smooth' on first listen) tribute to the freest groove I've ever known. Aa will be touring the west coast, including San Fran, Oakland, and Los Angeles this winter break, AND it looks like there's a good chance I will get to stay out in LA for a couple weeks in January to do some natural gas bus-and-garbage-truck fleet surveys for work. I am so fucking pumped to escape the brutal NYC winter for that month or so, if you think this blog is overly optimistic and flaky now just wait and see what kind of ridiculous shit I'll be posting in two months' time.
