Cleared two major semestral hurdles today, acquitted myself pretty well!  My feelings of triumph are aptly illustrated by Crude Futures' McMueller's stirring screen-capture essay, "The successfully destroyed bosses and forcefully opened doorways of Contra (NES)," which he recalls fondly and accurately for its "violent beauty" and "weird, erotic gorgeousness" in the preface to its less popular sequel "The collectively less-interesting endscreens of Super C (NES)":
