Finally catching up with/to Royal Trux, thanks Steve!  Was tipped off to NMH's wild blog awhile back by Nate, alluding to the traditional/experimental/experimental/traditional meme he brought up more recently in his recent No Fun review:

Royal Trux is a recent obsession of mine, one whose formation required many hours of listening. RTX work with a fascinating combination of history-conscious rock energy, insidiously subversive lyrics, and harmolodics (!), creating a truly surprising and experimental music. A brilliant amalgamation of the crystalline powers of noise, punk, jazz, psych, and boogie; proof that the experimental has become the traditional, and vice versa.
