I don't want to make anyone too uncomfortable here, but apparently there is some neuroscientific evidence that WHOLE CRITICAL AREAS OF CHIX BRAINS ARE EXPANDING AND/OR RETRACTING along with their monthly fertility cycle. As if girls weren't mysteriously 'other' enough, right?
The thing with this press release/article thing is that it is kind of lacking in critical details! What is the nature of the 'vast array of empirical and anecdotal evidence concerning variations in cognition and memory processes as a function of the time of the female cycle' - like, I just kind of thought that chix got 'wild' or whatever in this kind of unfathomable yet non-specific way, but in this article it's all about 'facilitating processing of complex spatial environments to enhance reproductive success'. Is that what it feels like?
